The Interwetten.com aims even higher in the player’s protection and responsible gaming. The provider of online sports betting and gaming was founded in 1990 in Vienna and is the first company in the industry that meets all criteria of the CEN Workshop Agreement (CWA). The certification comes from eCOGRA (e-Commerce and Online Gaming Regulation and Assurance).
 
Gzira, 23.12.2011. The CEN Workshop Agreement was published in February 2011 by the European Committee for Standardization (CEN) and the EGBA (European Gaming & Betting Association) incorporated it in its standards. The CEN is one of the three standardization bodies recognized by the EU. The target of CWA is to ensure effective protection of players inside the EU. This agreement includes a series of measures for the protection of the players in the field of online gaming. In fact, includes more than 134 practical measures for their protection, which are included in nine long-term objectives. Among other things, the most important issues are, the protection of susceptible players, the exclusion of minors from gambling, the exact compliance with the terms privacy, ensuring secure payment methods, and enforcement processes responsible marketing. As part of the annual audit compliance EGBA, conducted by eCOGRA, certified that the Interwetten.com is the first company that meets all the criteria CEN.
